We respect the singularity of your story; and the unique character of your family or organization. We never take a “cookie-cutter” approach.
We are committed to developing a customized project plan that gives us the tools we need to tell your story in the most compelling and powerful way.
We will conduct preliminary interview(s) to ensure that we understand your expectations, goals and budget. In turn, we will explain our process and costs for research, writing, revising and final completion of print and digital product. We’ll spell out what extra services we may be able to provide but that aren’t included in the original agreement.
We will ask you to sign a mutual non-disclosure agreement, ensuring complete confidentiality for your project.
We believe good communication helps us create a meaningful history. We will have check-ins with you as new questions arise or if we unearth new information that may affect the narrative..
We’ll ask you to introduce us to each interview subject you’ve identified so that s/he understands your objectives/goals, the reason we want to speak to them and the time-sensitive nature of interviews, so that they can have available any documents that might be useful for the project.
We will safeguard (duplicate copies only) relevant family documents, letters, photographs or other materials that you supply at the beginning of the process. These will be returned to you when we complete and deliver the final project.
